"Everything is a cliche. So every day it becomes a challenge to free myself from the cliches and produce something unique to me that I feel says something new. Else…worthless." - James Altucher.
Be Original?
In the world of art and creativity, everyone's trying to copy smartly. But in the end, we somehow end up doing the same thing.
It isn't easy to come up with original ideas. It takes more energy, concentration, and deep thinking to come up with something original or that doesn't look identical to what the other guy created.
We are all becoming lazy creators, and Artificial Intelligence is here even to make it worse.
ChatGPT has arrived to make writing easy, some say, but I hope we will not get addicted to this technology and get drunk with wine in excess.
Sure, we will abuse it, just as we have abused everything God gave us or the things we created ourselves, from alcohol to rockets.
Hey, how are you doing today? Forgive me; I haven't wished our readers on Apotheosis a happy new year.
We are already fifteen days and some hours into the year. Phew!
My friends, I hope you are ready to make the most of this year.
You know, there's nothing like a perfect year. We will always make mistakes and fall short of our plans, but most importantly, we must ensure we are getting better.
This morning, while reading in preparation to start writing, this was one of the ideas that stood out.
Is everything becoming cliche?
Where are all the original ideas hiding?
Is everybody doing the same thing?
Or are the original ideas so scarce because of the popularity of cliche?
We may [actually] have a few folks creating original ideas, but we can't just see their works because we are all drowning in the sea of cliche, repetition, and copy.
And modern creative technology may not be helping us. It's even going to make things worse because people will abuse it; as I said in an earlier paragraph, we do not know how to use things that are good for us properly. We will always abuse the good things.
It's just us being humans, though there will always be a few folks who will master creative technologies and use them to their advantage, harnessing the productive abilities of artificial intelligence to create a lot of good quality work.
Putting Our Souls Into Our Arts
The Cliché Culture Consuming The Art World
"What makes writing such a special art is that there are hundreds of beautiful books that are such a pleasure to read that they make you want to cry." - James Altucher.
Soul art—this is the only way any creator can escape the cliche culture consuming the art world—put your soul into what you are creating.
Only a few creators, artists, or scientists invest their everything into the things they do.
The few who manage to pour in their all are the ones who come up with ground-shaking ideas that change the world. The rest of us who do it with "half heart" will only produce "cliche," which has been seen 8 billion times.
If we really care about the art we create [as core art people or scientists], we must be ready to give our all to the art we profess to love.
Art is so unique. It's everywhere. It's in the sciences, in government, everywhere. Art gives everything color, beauty, form, and meaning.
If only we could calm our busy minds, sit down, relax, and inhale the beauty around us, we would produce ideas that will change the world.
