"30 Days to Better Habits: A Step-by-Step Guide for Forming Habits That Stick" By James Clear
Hello there, you wonderful person!
How have you been doing?
I know you have been planning for the big year ahead and getting ready to crush your big goals and emerge a better you, yeah?
Yes!
I started an email course by James Clear some days ago.
And I decided to share my [personal] study of that course with my Substack community.
I did the first lesson, which you can check out here, then skipped a couple of days.
This article contains lesson 2.
I've kept it short so you don't get bored—but you shouldn't get bored; people who are truly hungry for knowledge and growth shouldn't be bored when a big bowl of knowledge is placed right in front of them.
Ok, let's hop right in!
And remember to share with those you love.
Lesson 2 of 11
The Two-Minute Rule for Building Lasting Habits
"...Searching for small ways to move toward your ultimate ambition." - James Clear.
The two-minute rule for building lasting habits is one rule that will change your perspective on growth and development.
When we approach a big habit task, we intend to start big.
We look at it from the top down—how big, how complex, and how complicated it is.
The two-minute rule suggests we take it in tiny bits.
Start with the smallest tasks and watch them build up.
"The truth is, a habit must be established before it can be improved." - James Clear.
And the most uncomplicated technique for establishing any habit is to start with tiny, simple actions.
Well, that's it for this lesson.
I will send the next lesson soon.
"If it takes less than two minutes, then do it now." David Allen.
